Ledger SAS ("Ledger", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how Ledger Live handles your information.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Ledger Live is designed with privacy as a core principle:

• Private keys and seed phrases — Never transmitted to our servers. Your 24-word recovery phrase and private keys are stored exclusively on your hardware device's secure element chip.
• Transaction data — We do not log or store your individual transactions.
• Portfolio balances — Your asset balances are fetched directly from the blockchain and displayed locally in your browser.
• Passwords or PINs — We never request or store your hardware wallet PIN.

2. Technical Data Collected

To operate the service and improve performance, we may collect:

• Anonymous usage analytics (page views, feature usage — no PII)
• Error reports to improve stability (no financial data included)
• Device type and browser version for compatibility optimization
• Geographic region (country-level only, not precise location)

3. Blockchain Data

To display your portfolio, Ledger Live queries public blockchain data using your wallet address. Public blockchain addresses and transaction records are inherently public information stored on the blockchain network itself.

4. Third-Party Services

Ledger Live integrates with third-party services for price data and DeFi functionality:

• CoinGecko / CoinMarketCap (price data)
• Alchemy / Infura (blockchain RPC)
• Reservoir / OpenSea (NFT metadata)
• WalletConnect (wallet connection protocol)

5. Cookies

Ledger Live uses minimal session storage to maintain your connection state. We do not use tracking cookies or cross-site advertising identifiers.

6. Data Retention

Anonymous analytics data is retained for 90 days. No personal financial data is retained as we do not collect it.
